Anthony Case, hailing from Kingston, Jamaica, started his musical journey playing piano at the age of eight and eventually moved to drums and guitar. Anthony found a new voice playing bass when he was asked to fill the challenging role backing musician for the University of Kansas Black Gospel Choir. He went on to become the founding guitarist for a 13-piece funk group, Justin Case, and sold out local shows regularly. In the mid 1990’s, Anthony toured with regional folk/rock band Waterdeep and later with international reggae band Christafari. In 1999, Anthony joined forces with local Kansas City musicians to form the funk / hard rock group Trumpdawgs. After a musical hiatus, Anthony re-entered the music scene in 2009 backing up various Kansas City-based artists. His current band is the experimental instrumental audio group Wrong Kata Trio. Over his 25-year musical career, Anthony has performed nationally and internationally in 8 countries across three continents for audiences up to 50,000 people.
